ABOUT THE CENTRE IN VANCOUVER FOR PERFORMING ARTS

The Centre hosts the premier cultural performances on the continent from touring Broadway productions, to ballet, and all genres of music.

The Centre in Vancouver is a fully equipped 1800-seat performing arts theatre, located at 777 Homer Street in the heart of the entertainment and cultural district. The venue sits adjacent to the iconic Vancouver Public Library, and a few blocks from The CBC building, The Queen Elizabeth Theatre, Rogers Arena, and BC Place. All types of local and international cuisine are available within walking distance.

Both the library and The Centre were designed by internationally renowned Israeli-Canadian architect Moshe Safdie and opened in 1995. The auditorium is fully modern yet reflects classic European nuances. Every seat is comfortable, sight lines are intimate and the acoustics are stellar. The lobbies are spacious and elegantly designed with marble, kaleidoscopic mirrors and glass.
